Teddy P.... In The Place To BEE...

Teddy is great...
Really Great!
So Awesomely Great that he wrote the BlackStar Dub
So GREAT... he gives me music...
ALOT
So Great... He's DJing a perty in Brooklyn in a Great loft... with Great people...
such as Jacque Renault (with Marcos Cabral the embodiment of Runaway, the Runaway who wrote the non-disco track Brooklyn Club Jam which catapulted them to ironic disco fame).
I ask Teddy... and he gives...
He also forms (avec Malcolm LaSalle) such disco magic making outfits as Vietcong Disco (the myspace link of whom I haven't access... to because my place of employment blocks it from use....myspace is porn in case you didn't know it... haha)... But I'm sure you've the wherewithall (sp?) to type Vietcong Disco into your googler if you feel so inclined. Come to think of it, isn't it kind of insulting to have links to every damn thing embedded in every other word of a blog. I mean, how lazy or stupid are we that we can't use the googler? Imagine though... if there were no search engines? And you had to type in url's until you got a good one? That would be a good reason to have hyperlinks. But seriously... how lazy can one person be? It's clearly enough laziness for 5 or 7 people.
isn't that great?

So anyways, there have been rumors.... and rumors of rumors that, in Brooklyn, utterances have been uttered of sentences containing both the name Vietcong Disco and DFA. I truly know nothing of such things but Mr. Patterson has been getting AWFULLY friendly with the turntables at such loft parties as the one coming up this mid-march where Runaway is also djing and DFA is in full-on sponsorship moad.

I surely think so...

Here's a couple things by Teddy.... him...

Firstly...
Shake Your Money Maker - Vietcong Disco

semi-Exclusive not on a million other blogs edit:

Close Encounter - Midnight Star (EddieMarsBarEdit)

ALSO...
To be noted is a Loft party at

ALL LINKS FUNCTIONAL... and a picture of a Pony..

Yes...
That didn't take long...

Download Links Up In a Day or So....

My Apoligies for the Divshare links not working. My account has reached it's max downloads for a free account. I'd just open up a new one and transfer my music there

BUT (the big BUT!) ...

All... ALMOST all of the music hosted on the blog is on my R.I.P. laptop.

ANYHOW... since I'm off the grid and have no credit card or bank account, I must have someone else's credit card pay for thizzz shiznit. Shouldn't be long... a few hours or at most 'till tommorrow...

Be well...
Another note... I was featured AGAIN on the ever awesome Delicasessions Radio Show.

There's actually a funny story that goes with the last Delicasessions radio program. My girlfriend Alexis (now living in Austin TX.)... had emailed Delicasessions last Sunday. String Pusher was featured on the show a few weeks back and she tunes in every week now apparently. Alexis complimented the host (don't know his name unfortunately) on his great and ecletic music selection but didn't mention that I had a song played ont here a couple weeks back. The host gave a shout-out to Alexis and all of Austin and she was psyched. Anyways... she listened to the whole 2 hours and got up to the last song. Lo-and=-behold he played String Pusher for his last selection. Crazy coincidence if you ask me :)
Gettin' out there... It really feels great to have people playing my music and enjoying it so much as to play it more than once. Thanks everyone!!!

And again, check out Delicasessions!! It is a great show and you might just learn something.

CHEEARS.. and again... DIVSHARE backp soon...

The Grace Jones Remix Express Keeps On Rollin'

There have been quite a few remixes of Grace's "William's Blood" kickin' around the interwebs. I posted an Aeroplane version about a month or so back that I really dug, like with a large shovel, over and over again.

But so much for their version because Mr. Greg Wilson took a break from tape edits to whip up what might be compared to the musical version of being mugged by a very well dressed tug-boat. Whatever that means the world may never know, BUT... Greg is constantly changing up the percussion, vocal snips, dubbed out blissness. I spend my days looking for one or two amazing snare sounds to give my music that extra oomph. This track switches around between about 15 different snares. Just one of which I would trade my left one for. And on top of that, after teasing you with little vocal bits and bops for the entire song... they never kick in. In retrospect, it's all the better for it. I actually coerced my sister, a Grace Jones worshiper, to listen to the song with me. I was positive that at some point the full vocal loop kicked in. I'd listened to the song 7 or 8 times by then and had no excuse for my ignorance except for the fact that Greg teases with such a perfection as to have you almost hear the chorus without it even playing. I have no other way to describe it. This is one of my favorites of the last 6 months. FERR SHERR....

with no further ado...

Faze Action

Best known for their huge huge track "In The Trees" from back in the late 90's, Faze action's more recent tracks are equally hype. They fuse disco and a houseThis is one of them...

And now for some bangers....

Okay... enough with the sally music :]

I'm posting some raving time music...

It Takes Two - Saw Remix (white)
This one's a little newer...

Demon - Show Me How (K7!)

And the essential Higher State Of Concsiousness:

Josh Wink - Higher State of Consciousness (Original_Tweekin__acid_funk_mix)

Another newer-ish record... bought this one in Oakland:

Circulation - Green

Two serious oldie but goodies...

Asmo - Jam The Dance

I remember hearing this track at the first rave I ever went to ... it was back in '91... I was 13 or 14 years old (thanks alot older skateboarding friends). like whoa. I think it was in Norwood mass. In some old beat up 3 floor warehouse. Just remember being completely blown away when this came on. Back in the days when we thought we could change the world. What idealistic times. Boggles my mind to think that was 18 years ago... significantly more than half my lifetime... Still get chills when I hear it:

Future Sound Of London - Papua New Guinea (original)

AND and old house gem...

Nomad - Devotion (Joey Negro Mix)

Gettin' that radio love...

So, at the risk of sounding like I like myself... my new 'String Pusher' jam has been on a couple solid internet radio shows. First off, the mighty Tim Love Lee of Tummy Touch goodness played it the other day on East Village radio... check that out here. Also got to hear my name in proper English on the Delica-Records radio show here. Something about hearing someone say my name like that made me feel wicked, hella cool. say mah name say mah name.

Anyways...
hope everyone's doin' aight out there.

And then.....

Here's a fairly new edit by Pat Les Stash. Don't know much about this cat but this track's great.

pat-les-stache - tropical lover

This one goes out to mah babay!

and this guy's okay too...

So this song is a few years old but I wanted to put it on here for thethe love of my life... That's you Alexis. Speaking of psychic, a couple of years ago I was obsessed with this song, I didn't know why until the aforementioned lady up and moved to Austin a month ago and faded from my Boston winter.... seeing time in reverse anyone? Anyways, weird-0h hippy vibes aside, it's downright perrdee just like that lady. Iron and Wine kicks azz. Like nobody knew. This is by far his best song imho. Faded from the Winter. it is then.

Iron and Wine - Faded From The Winter

Plus he has a beard to be reckoned with, always a plus.

Gino Vanelli is is high on lerrrrve

...

I do believe I could start this post with the ever cliche ha ha ha... or maybe heh heh.
either would be appropo. Gino Vanelli wants to share with you the fact that he is high on love and needs none such chemical romances as the rest of the world may or may not need. Aside from ruling hard, there is the uncanny reference to Barack Obama at 50 seconds... seriously listen to it... it's kinda weird, creepy and the man is obviously some sort of mad psychic. Either way, this song cracks me up. I dare you to download it. Trippple dawg dare ya!.,? Yet another .wav. Trust me though, this is good.

Gino Vanelli - Gettin' High

It's The Kenny

Sorry about the momentary lapse of posting. Somehow water was spilled on my laptop and now the girl won't boot. It's especially lame because I have about 20 unrendered, finished tracks on there as well as the stems to everything I've put here on the blog. Not to mention Soudforge, Logic, the entire native instruments bundle... You get the picture, if she's fried I am screwed.

Anyways, enough about me. Let's talk about Kenny Rogers.
This is the "Morgana Jones" track from "The Gambler" LP. This song kicks ass and quite frankly, I don't care what you say.
This is a Wav file. Sorry, my MP3 converter is soggy right now.
